Maurice trained with BDO, Dublin and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999. He subsequently worked as assistant manager in transaction services with team PricewaterhouseCoopers, Dublin. He joined our firm in 2001 and was admitted as partner in 2003.

Maurice is our international liaison partner and provides a range of value added accounting, compliance, audit and advisory services to international companies who are seeking to establish operations in Ireland. He also oversees a broad portfolio of clients including SME, public sector, not-for profit and multinationals. He has extensive experience dealing with regulated clients such as credit unions, pension funds, solicitors and insurance brokers.

He has significant transaction experience and has carried out a wide range of corporate finance assignments including company valuations, sale and purchase of businesses, fundraisings (BES, debt finance and private placings), tax based property investments, strategic review and due diligence assignments.

He has carried out a number of insolvency assignments including members, creditors and court liquidations. He has also assisted clients on restructuring and refinancing of their operations and with individuals on the restructuring of bank facilities and renegotiation of personal guarantees. He holds a diploma in insolvency (with distinction) from Chartered Accountants Ireland.

He is an experienced forensic accountant and has been involved in a number of cases including loss of profits, bank overcharging, contract disputes, shareholder disputes, revenue tax investigations, divorce proceedings, fraud investigations, asset tracing, internal control, governance and risk reviews. In recent times he has reported to a number of investors in relation to impaired tax based property investments. He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and holds a diploma in forensic accounting (with distinction) from Chartered Accountants Ireland.
