Idris has over 25 years of experience in the assurance and financial advisory services sector in the UK and Kuwait and in the commercial sector where he has worked as a finance director of a listed company in the UK. In Kuwait he manages the Assurance, Business advisory services and tax departments and is part of the MENA regional technical team. He is involved with almost all of the clients in the office and handles some of the office’s key relationships and performs the role of Quality assurance on all large and listed clients. He has advised clients on acquiring and disposing of businesses, liquidations, drafting of business plans and internal reorganizations, advising on inheritance issues and the development of succession plans. He has over the years worked in Spain, Australia, Singapore and Russia and has experience of working with different nationalities under differing legal jurisdictions utilizing differing business practices. He has a deep understanding and knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and accounting including their theory and practical applications.
