After completing his training as a banking clerk, working for a cooperative bank for several years and obtaining his degree in Economics and Social Sciences at the University in Trier, Horst joined an internationally active auditing company in Frankfurt. In 1989, he moved to Luxembourg and changed over to the financial sector after passing the auditor exam as a 'Réviseur d’Entreprises’. Horst has many years of experience as managing director of a bank and investment company in Luxembourg as well as in the start-up phases of subsidiaries in Zurich and Dublin. Registered at the Luxembourg Chamber of Auditors (‚IRE’) as a ‘Réviseur d’Entreprises Agréé’ and at the ‘Ordre des Experts Comptables’ (‘OEC’) as an ‘Expert-Comptable’. The focus of his activities is in the field of national and international auditing as well as in consulting/provision of services in the areas of organisation, internal control system, internal audit, compliance and due diligence.
